Edmond Counseling and Professional Development is one of the few counseling practices in Oklahoma to use a process called Feedback Informed Treatment. Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT), which has also historically been called CDOI and PCOMS, is a very simple but effective way of tracking progress.
At the beginning of each the session, the client is given a four question questionnaire. The questionnaire, which takes less than thirty seconds to complete, asks the client to rate areas of his or her life over the past seven days.
The client's response is recorded and tracked over time. This method allows the therapist and the client to see if the client is getting better and to assess what he or she is doing to bring improvement into her life.
If the client reports that he or she is not getting better, then we can work together to understand what is missing and began to introduce that element into the counseling session.
